Company story

Eighteen years building the same discipline.

Wetop Silicone opened in 2008 as a small Dongguan workshop with a single compression press. The customers were housewares OEM buyers who needed dedicated tooling on a tight timeline — the same brief that drives most programs on our floor today.

The factory has grown, but the operating principle has not. Every RFP reaches the engineering team before sales. Every mold is cut in-house. Every batch is post-cured and lot-traced. Nothing is subcontracted, and no production step happens somewhere the customer can’t audit.

The result is a factory that is deliberately mid-sized: large enough to run Costco-volume programs, small enough that a first-article failure reaches the engineering desk the same day it happens.

The discipline

How a program moves from CAD to carton.

Six workstations under one roof. Nothing subcontracted, nothing offshored twice. Every step happens where the engineer who wrote your reply can walk over and check it.

Audit welcome

One customer audit per month. Yours can be next.

Third-party audit reports are a one-time snapshot. Customer audits are where buyers actually see how a supplier operates. In-person audits at the Dongguan facility on one week’s notice; virtual walkthroughs within 24 hours of request. Roughly one customer audit lands on our floor per month.

FAQ · the factory

Five questions procurement teams ask before the audit.

  • Are you a factory or a trading company?

Founder-led factory — 60 employees on a 7,500 m² floor in Dongguan, ISO 9001:2015 certified since 2013. William Zhuo owns and runs the plant. We own the molds, the compression presses, the LSR injection cell, the post-cure ovens, the QC stations, and the production logs. No production step that touches your geometry is subcontracted. The address on our ISO certificate and the address on your carton match.

  • Where exactly is Wetop Silicone located?

2-1R, Pulongxi, Puxinhu, Tangxia Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. 90 minutes from Yantian Port, 60 minutes from Shekou Port, 60 minutes from central Shenzhen, and 2 hours from Hong Kong International Airport. The location sits inside the highest-density silicone-manufacturing corridor in the world.

  • Can we audit your factory before placing the first order?

Yes. In-person audits at the Dongguan facility on one week's notice; virtual walkthroughs within 24 hours of request. Roughly one physical customer audit lands on the floor per month. Audits are treated as the primary trust-building step, not a substitute for a third-party report.

  • What is your monthly production capacity?

SKU-dependent. Compression line runs multi-shift and scales into the hundreds of thousands of pieces per SKU per month for higher-volume programs. LSR cell runs precision programs in parallel. Actual capacity for your program is scoped by an engineer against cycle time, cavity count, and post-cure schedule.

  • You don't have an SGS or Disney FAMA audit — does that matter?

For most retail-brand customers, the brand or the retailer conducts their own audit — which is more rigorous than a generic third-party report. Wetop provides ISO 9001:2015 documentation, per-batch FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and LFGB §30/31 third-party lab reports, batch traceability, and customer audit access on demand. If a program requires Disney FAMA, Sedex, or a similar audit, we pursue it as a customer-specific cost built into the program quote.

  • How do you handle mold ownership and transfer?

Molds are the customer's on documented programs. Every mold sits on a customer-segregated rack labeled with the program code. Mold transfer (to a different factory, or return to the customer) is handled on written request per the program agreement. Wetop never quotes another buyer using a customer's tooling.

  • What is your default MOQ?

500 pieces per SKU on a custom-tooled program. Higher-volume tiers at MOQ 1,000 and MOQ 5,000 unlock lower per-piece price brackets. The MOQ is not a bargaining position — it is the volume at which tooling amortization and QC overhead work.

  • Do you take retail orders or personal-use orders?

No. Wetop is B2B custom OEM/ODM. Every program is tooled to a customer's spec and shipped in retail-brand quantities. Personal-use inquiries are politely declined.

  • What compliance frameworks do you work against?

FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 for food-contact silicone. LFGB §30/31 for the EU food-contact framework. REACH SVHC declarations. RoHS. USP Class VI for LSR programs targeting medical-adjacent end use. EN 14350 for baby-feeding programs. ISO 9001:2015 for the plant-level quality management system. Program-specific frameworks (retailer-specific PPAP templates, Disney FAMA, Sedex) are accommodated on request.

Send a brief, get an engineer's reply in one business day.

Every Wetop program is custom-tooled to a customer’s spec. To scope your program we need your CAD file (STEP · IGES · DWG) or a written brief, your target volume, and any compliance requirements (FDA, LFGB, EN 14350, RoHS, and so on). We reply with a mold cost estimate, price brackets at MOQ 500 / 1,000 / 5,000, and 2–4 engineering questions about edge cases in your spec.

Send your brief

Describe your program and attach CAD or reference files. An engineer replies within one business day.
