Overview

Wetop Silicone (referred to as Wetop, we, or us) is a custom silicone products manufacturer based in Dongguan, China. This policy describes what information we collect from visitors and buyers using wetopsilicone.com, why we collect it, and the limited ways we use it.

We do not sell, trade, or rent any information collected on this site. There are no third-party advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or retargeting pixels running on this domain.

What we collect

From the quote form (Request a quote modal on any page):

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Company (optional)
  • Country or region (optional)
  • Program description or brief
  • Attachments you choose to upload (CAD files, reference photos, or written specifications — up to 3 files, 20 MB each)
  • The timestamp and referring page of your submission

From ordinary browsing (any page load):

  • Standard server-log fields collected by our hosting provider — IP address, user agent, requested URL, response code
  • These logs are retained by Netlify for operational purposes and are not linked to identified individuals by us

We do not use: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, HubSpot tracking, or any other marketing tracker. We set no cookies through this site.

Why we collect it

The information you submit through the quote form is used only to:

  1. Respond to your quote request or brief with a written reply from an engineer, typically within one business day
  2. Prepare a formal quotation, CAD review, or sampling schedule for your program
  3. Ship physical samples to the address you provide (if you request samples)
  4. Communicate about the specific program you asked about — status updates, tooling milestones, shipment tracking

We do not add you to a mailing list, newsletter, or drip campaign. We do not send follow-ups you did not ask for.

Where it is stored

  • Form transport: Submissions are transmitted from your browser to a Netlify Function running in Netlify’s infrastructure (typically US East region)
  • Email delivery: The submission is packaged into a single email and delivered via Resend (US and EU regions) to our engineering desk at inquiry@wetopsilicone.com
  • Attachments: CAD and reference files travel as email attachments and are retained on our email server for the duration of the program plus 60 days
  • No CRM: We do not currently push submissions into a CRM, spreadsheet, or third-party system

Retention

  • Unresponded briefs — retained for 24 months in the mailbox for reference, then deleted
  • Active programs (quoted, sampling, or in production) — the correspondence and CAD files are retained for the duration of the program plus 5 years for warranty, legal, and material-traceability purposes
  • Server logs — Netlify’s default retention (typically 30 days), managed by Netlify

Your rights

You may at any time:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you or your company
  • Request correction of anything inaccurate
  • Request deletion of your inquiry and all associated correspondence and files

To exercise any of these rights, email inquiry@wetopsilicone.com with the request and — if applicable — a reference to the program name, brief date, or quote number. We will complete the request within 30 days.

If your program is subject to an active NDA or manufacturing contract, deletion of records specifically required by that contract (e.g. material lot records for FDA-registered programs) may be constrained by the contract terms; we will tell you exactly what we cannot delete and why.

Security

  • The site is served over HTTPS with a Let’s Encrypt certificate; all form submissions are TLS-encrypted end to end
  • Access to the engineering mailbox that receives briefs is limited to Wetop’s engineering and account-management staff
  • CAD and reference files are never uploaded to shared drives, cloud collaboration tools, or third-party review platforms without your written approval
  • We use platinum-level 2FA on the mailbox account

Children

The site and services are for business-to-business buyers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects how we handle your information, we will update the Last modified date at the top of this page and — for material changes — email active-program customers to inform them.
